 9-17-99 "The Morning After" Photo view looking northward along highway 11 toward Contentnea Creek. The creek bridge and guard rails can normally be seen from this vantage point. Once, we might have considered it an advantage to be able to fish from the front store stoop. Fishing was far from our thoughts as we worked to save inventory. Customers, friends and family helped us remove and store our inventory before the waters ultimately reached knee deep inside the store. The same folks helped us restore the inventory unscathed after a massive cleaning effort. We are forever grateful.

9-17-99 "The Afternoon After" One of our customers just couldn't resist fishing in the store parking lot. Awesome sight - fish were breaking all around as they chased bugs formerly snug in the cotton patch beside the store. |
